I had the day off my day job yesterday for the 4th of July holiday. This provided a great opportunity to spend a dedicated chunk of time working on my Internet business.

Yet the first 2 hours were spent wasting time getting sidetracked. (I paid $200 for resell rights to a software product — JV Manager — before coming to my senses that I can’t in clean conscience promote something I don’t know how to support.)

It was noon before I knew it and I had social plans for the evening, so I had to get my time management back on track quickly.

So I spent the next half hour with God… reading my Bible and praying. It is amazing the clarity Jesus brings to stress. Realizing what really matters in this life works wonders for my well being.

With a clean head I was now onto business matters. I remembered I had purchased GoalEnforcer a couple months back. This is software that helps you visually plan out the task and subtasks required for completion of a goal.

I wrote my goal in the center bubble: “Relaunch CSN.”

Around it I made bubbles for the 3 main tasks which need accomplished: “Prepare CSN backend,” “Finish Article Intelligence Report,” and “Recruit Affiliates.”

Then under each of those main tasks, I defined subtasks.

The visual presentation and ability to quickly add tasks (available in GoalEnforcer Hyperfocus) was really transforming to this project. I started on the tasks with fresh resolve and hope that I actually will finish this goal in short order.

I was able to mark a few of the subtask as completed already. When I resume work tonight (either before or after seeing the new Die Hard movie with a few friends), I’ll know right where to begin.

I’d recommend Goal Enforcer to anyone who tends to be overwhelmed with projects or had trouble keeping up with all the task that go into a project.
