Free WordPress Theme

Want the “Crompton Theme” you’re looking at? I had it custom made recently using the latest styles and would like to offer it to you free of charge.
It is a hip, young Web 2.0 style with a clean look.

Hey Chris,
Quick Question for you — if you will. I love the theme and noticed that your perma-links actually point to a location, rather than the dreaded domain.com/?p=13 or some silly stuff. I also note that this is a Wordpress theme (which I have), so to my question… does the “theme” resolve this into permalinks that work or is that a function of your hosting company? I have tried to get my links to resolve, but no amount of tweaks, settings or crossing my fingers seems to work. Seems I can’t “update” the settings so that they stay.
Anyway, I realize this is probably out of your balliwick, but I love (and want) the theme, particularly the perma-link stuff. Crisp, clean lines, soothing colors… good job… even if you can’t or won’t answer my question.
Keep up the good work.

I did this by specifying a custom structure for my permalinks:
/%post_id%/
Hmmm, tried that. I spoke to my host provider today — after leaving that post, and they tell me I am on a Windows plan which doesn’t allow an update to the .htaccess file. I located a product I think I can install on my web server that will allow the “update writes”. At least, that’s what they are telling me I have to do.
Thanks for your response — I really appreciate it.
