As most of you know, I’m still working a full-time day job in addition to my online business (content spooling network)… so I’m very busy.

(Sidebar — I’m getting very close to putting in my 2 week notice — I’ll keep you posted!)

I’m about to hire a company to help with customer support… people say this is the first thing you should outsource. I tried to outsource my customer support twice last year, but wasn’t successful. But I started the hunt again a few weeks ago.

I was looking for a company which specialized in customer support that would train a team and take care of training new people if one leaves. I simply don’t want to be involved in day-to-day HR.

After reviewing a few companies, I found one with good quality at a fair price. Once this is in place, I should have 10-20 extra hours a week to dedicate to higher-level activities.

I’m also getting a personal assistant through another vendor that I can give tasks to such as:

- checking my email for me (although I don’t know if i can break the habit of checking it myself every 20 minutes)
- making sure my customer support is getting done correctly — keeping tabs on the other company’s work
- setting up new sites to my specifications
- creating social bookmarking accounts for me
- creating video site accounts for me
- contacting potential affiliates
- other misc tasks.

The problem is that when I need to do something, it always feels like a unique task that would take longer to explain than to do myself. I need to systematize my work more, so that my tasks become more common.

But more than systemetizing my current work, there are a ton of things that just aren’t getting done right now. It is these tasks — mainly dealing with traffic generation — that I hope to get the most benefit from by outsourcing.

You can have the best tools and the best knowledge, but if you don’t have the time or inkling to do it yourself, GET SOMEONE TO DO IT FOR YOU!

I’ll be posting more of my insights and experiences with outsourcing in the future.

The other day I emailed my list of article marketers and asked them what was their biggest are struggle with article marketing.

I got about 60 replies. It took a while to personally respond to each!

Here’s a link to the compiled questions, and my answers to their questions:

Let’s face it. Making money online requires a bit of self discipline. And unfortunately that’s something I’m not overly blessed with.

If a project requires me to act over a lengthy period of time, I’m probably going to need some massive accountability to keep me on track.

This is a big reason why I created the Content Spooling Network as a procedure-based tool. It helps me to overcome my reluctance to be consistent with writing & submitting articles.

What’s your weakness?

If you aren’t experiencing the results you desire, perhaps you need a better tool or process. We all have our weaknesses. But we all have unique and shared strengths… And God has made us resilient…

Do you use a spell checker? That is a tool to overcome your occasional spelling failures. There are some that have near-perfect spelling without the spell checker — but that’s not you!

Did you go to school? This was a process to overcome your lack of self-discipline and consistency to simply be set free in a library and learn it all on your own.

Don’t believe the lie that you aren’t skilled enough to achieve the goal you truly desire. You may simply need a better tool or process to reliably overcome your deficiency.

Afraid your forgetfulness will keep you from remembering that item you need to take with you the next day? Set it on the floor in front of the front door the night before.

Can’t wake up on time? Move the alarm clock to the other side of the room. Do you still push snooze without thinking and walk back into bed? Write yourself a big note saying “Stay Up, Stupid!” and put it on top of your alarm clock with a small glass of water to pour over your head. This will jostle your morning slumber routine a bit!

The point is — don’t let yourself settle for failure because you think that is the highest level you can attain.

Maybe your biggest issue isn’t that you need a better tool for one bit of Internet marketing… maybe you need a better process altogether for making money online — the current one just isn’t cutting it. Or maybe there are so many gaps in your marketing knowledge that you feel inadequate waaaay too often.

This was the case with a friend of mine who makes good money online. He emailed me yesterday about a new product he thought you’d be interested in…

Hi Chris,

I bought Armand Morin’s “Internet Marketing Explained” and think you should consider promoting it to your list.

The clincher for me was really 2 points.

1) He’s promised to show the correct sequence to follow for about a dozen different areas on internet marketing. I don’t know about you but I’ve found I’ve learned most everything I know in a piece meal fashion. The result is I’ve often found myself majoring in minor points that I should have put off for later.

2) Testimonials for Sylvia & Michael Fortin, and Ray Edwards. All these guys were already doing great online but say their businesses increased dramatically after using this course.

The “Internet Marketing Explained” course was released last week. I only just learned about it yesterday, but it definitely looks good. Armand Morin brings in $250,000 a week online. Yes, I was blown away when I read that too! This is someone who obviously has a lot to teach.

Anyway — there’s a live teleseminar tonight about the course where Armand is going into some more detail and highlighting a secret add-on bonus. If you’re at all interested, you should be on the call tonight.

Today is the day! The article stats upgrade module is finally being released. This is available as a paid upgrade to Content Spooling Network members.

All other enhancements to CSN have been complimentary for members, but due to the development costs and ongoing server bandwidth associated with referral stat tracking, this is available as a paid upgrade at special introductory pricing.

The CSN article stat tracking module gives detailed reporting of your article marketing…

* Track the weekly Google rank (in the top 100 positions) for any keywords which are linked 100% of the time in your published articles.

* See which CSN articles on your site are bringing the most visitors.

* Refine your article marketing efforts by discovering which articles published through CSN are drawing the most traffic to your site.

* For each published article, learn which article directory, search engine, or keyword is sending the most traffic.

* Declare certain pages of your site as “actions” to learn which article traffic source converts the best.

Sign Up for the Content Spooling Network & Grab this upgrade module soon… the pricing is an introductory special.

Thought I’d share with you the tools I use for choosing, purchasing, and hosting domains…

Choosing Domains

When I’m trying to choose a catching domain name, my tool of choice is www.instantdomainsearch.com. As the name implies, you can type away and see instantly whether the domain is available.

Purchasing Domains

I’ve tried a couple, but I’ve stuck with www.namecheap.com. Contrary to the name, you don’t always get the cheapest price on a domain (unless you can find a coupon code). However, the tools available for managing your domains (and transferring them) are very simple to use.

Hosting Domains

If you can afford it, I’d go with www.rackspace.com. Don’t expect to get a dedicated server for anything less than $500 per month. But the support is top notch. I love being able to call them at any time to get things worked out. I’m actually having a few minor issues with server speed now (We’ve published near 200,000 articles in the past 7 months — it takes a lot of resources!) and they are very helpful in sorting through the issues.

If $15 per month is more up your alley, I highly recommend www.hostgator.com. You can host unlimited domains and the cPanel management is super. This blog is currently hosted on my hostgator account.

- Disclaimer… I have no financial interest in any of the companies mentioned above. The links contain no affiliate tracking… these are just honest recommendations!

Back in November I purchased 100 copies of the Internet Business in a Box… which contains the suite of applications & procedures used by James Brausch to run his Internet business.

I sold about 50 to my my modest list at an average price of about $350.  I was recently scolded by James for charging less than $1,000 for this package.  $1,000 is the lowest he’s ever sold the package for on a 24 hour special.  His standard price is $3,000 for the Internet Business in a Box package.  (Each item in the package when purchased separately comes to over $6,000.)

My problem is that I’ve still got 50 of these packages left.  My email list of 5,000 or so people have purchased all they can.  I’m sure I could sell the other 50 as my list grows — but to be honest, my office is about 3/4 full of boxes and I just want to get rid of them.

So here’s the special for any of you who have a list or a good amount of traffic in the Internet marketing arena.  I’m selling 2 “resell” packages.  Each will contain 25 Internet Business in a Box packages.  If you sell them at the $1,000 price… you can do the math :)

I’m getting rid of them for $2,500 each — which includes the price of shipping them out to you.

$2,500 will buy you 25 Internet Business in a Box packages (at $100 each) and quite easily your highest revenue January ever!.    Be quick… I only have 2 available.

Here’s what’s included in each individual package:

*Software - Glyphius 2007
*Software - Muvar 2007
*CD - Traffic Procedure: Submit To Blog Carnivals
*CD - Traffic Procedure: Ghostwrite Blog Entry
*CD - Downloadable Products 2007
*CD - Intern Orientation
*CD - Copywriting Procedure: Batch Processing
*CD - Copywriting Procedure: Rewrite Headline
*CD - The JD Brausch Letter - January 2007
*CD - The JD Brausch Letter - February 2007
*CD - The JD Brausch Letter - March 2007
*CD - The JD Brausch Letter - April 2007
*CD - The JD Brausch Letter - May 2007
*CD - The JD Brausch Letter - June 2007
*DVD - Earn an Income by Creating Your Own Blog
*DVD - Earn an Income by Creating Your Own Downloadable Information Product Vol. 1
*DVD - Earn an Income by Creating Your Own Downloadable Information Product Vol. 2
*DVD - Earn an Income by Publishing Your Own Printed And Mailed Newsletter
*DVD - Earn an Income by Creating Your Own CD
*DVD - Earn an Income by Creating Your Own DVD

*Book on Internet Marketing

I’ve gotten permission from James to sell these to you.  If you place your order after the 2 resell packages have been snatched up, I’ll issue a prompt refund.
